I was recently on a panel hosted at an event called The Tech Interview, where I was asked a question and I answered it. The question was: How do you keep up with technology? The panel was also wondering how to prevent the use of technology as a tool for bad behavior.
The question was: So, you have a job that requires you to know everything about the latest tech.
I can’t remember if I was on the panel or not, but I sure can’t remember where I was in the time frame I was talking about, so I can’t try to find anything specific. However, I do know that I did answer the question and that I would love to say I did so. It was the first time I had ever done it and I wish I could say it was the last time.
I remember feeling pretty good about myself, but I think I’m still pretty out of it. In the past I’ve done everything from asking the same question over and over again in interviews, to having a very specific answer for every question. I was pretty happy with the answers I gave, but I didn’t feel as knowledgeable as I once did. I knew the answer, but I didn’t know it was the answer I wanted.
The problem is that the answers are usually specific to the kind of question you are asking. You can ask different questions and get different answers. You can ask questions about things like how to use a computer, or how to run the latest version of Photoshop, or how to set up your website. People ask these questions all the time. Then, as they realize that they are not the best person to answer them, they try to narrow their answers.
The reason why most people don’t answer questions that aren’t specifically related to technology is that they think people aren’t used to answering questions that aren’t necessarily related to technology. For instance, I’m not sure why anyone would want to answer this question. As I said, this doesn’t really apply to technology interviews.
But that is the problem. We shouldnt think that we are the best people to answer questions related to technology, because we arent. People who do this are actually the worst people to answer questions related to technology. Many times the questions they try to answer are just not related to tech at all.
One of the best ways to get answers to questions that arent related to tech is to use a good questioner. The best questioner is a professional, reliable, and knowledgeable interviewist who can answer questions that arent related to technology. This is the key to success, and most of the time we’ll just ignore the questions.
Are you a technology-hungry person? Are you a smart enough person to solve tech problems? Do you think that most of the tech-hungry people who answer questions that are not related to tech will be the smart ones? If you’re not smart enough, the answer to the tech-hungry is probably yes. They might not be smart enough for every reason, but they might be smart enough to solve tech problems.
