I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. I think it’s a bit of both. On the one hand, I can’t wait to get my hands on the sixthsense tech that has been announced at CES 2017. I’m guessing it’s the latest in a long line of 6thsense phones and tablets.
It might be a good thing. It’s an advance that should help the future of mobile computing. On the other hand, I think it might be more harmful. The 6thsense tech that’s announced is not a fully open operating system. It uses proprietary hardware called the “sixth-sense” in order to detect motion and determine what parts of the computer are working.

I don’t know how to pronounce the company’s name, but the first time I checked out their website, it was in an awful purple font. Maybe that was the company’s logo.
The company is called Sixthsense Technologies, and they appear to be a private company in the US. I dont know what their deal is, but I have a feeling they may be using their technology to sell to the military. Maybe even to sell to the CIA.
In any case, this is one of those places where you have to read the official press release, and the tech press release. The official press release is pretty thin on details (the company is still looking for a few more investors), but they do say that the company was founded by a man named Jeff Larson (a.k.a. “sixthsense”).
They are already looking for investors, and the last thing they want is to get a new company to run their own tech company. This is the same guy who was looking for a company to do some sort of tech-related thing.
He’s also the guy who created the site Sixthsense.com, and a lot of their site is tech related.
